Yvon MEVEL

Yvon, recently retired, was transferred to Alsace for professional reasons, and proposes sharing his passion of cyclotourism on the local Alsacien routes!

I am a retired postman, passionate about travel, sports and geography. With Breton and South of France origins, I moved to Alsace 40 years ago and, thanks to cyclo-tourism, I have been able to get off the beaten path and better appreciate this region. I love to travel, to leave on trips that I organize myself. My bookshelf is full of stories telling the adventures of other globetrotters. I love to play croquet or go to basketball games, and I also enjoy being a part of a ping-pong club. Above all, I am an expert of cyclo-tourism (I cover between 5000 and 8000 kms each year). I’d love to take you along the routes of Sundgau, the Potassique Bassin, or on the Plaine Rhenane to discover the places often linked to the industrial past of Alsace. Following the bordering paths of the Rhin is also a possibility. I love international meetings, they are always enriching and are made easier by my knowledge of English and Spanish. It would be a pleasure for me to cycle with you, and to help you discover more of Southern Alsace!
